Financial Markets Charity RegattaFriday 22nd October 2010
The Financial Markets Charity Regatta, organised by ASX Thomson Reuters Charity Foundation will this year take place on Friday 22nd October and is already off to a fantastic start! We hope to raise more than ever this year with a target of $1.25 million to be distributed to charity.
ASX, Thomson Reuters, Westpac, ANZ, NAB, UBS, Deutsche Bank, RBS, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Scottish Development Intl., Telstra, SBFI, PHD Channel 9 and Providence Wealth have already entered a yacht to compete for the Financial Markets Charity Cup. This year promises to be the biggest and best regatta yet as we are aiming for 60 yachts to compete.
The current cup holder is BG Capital Partners who last year took out Line Honours and walked away with the cup for their outstanding efforts on the lovely Margaret Rintoul V.
After a race around the harbour Jelly Bean Jam are again set to entertain over 600 guests with Tahitian dancers providing some atmospheric entertainment. Guests will enjoy a sizzling BBQ, complimentary beer and wine while perusing the stunning auction and raffle items. This year’s auction will include luxury overseas holidays, exclusive tickets to top sporting events and jewellery. The raffle will include over $6,000 in prizes. You can make up your mind about what you will bid for whilst soaking up the ambience on the gorgeous beach at Middle Harbour Yacht Club. This event is a great way to help support worthwhile charities whilst entertaining your clients, networking or even thanking your staff!
All competitors will receive a polo shirt, cap, lunch box, bottled water and entry to the beach after party. If you would like to bring extra guests along to the after party who aren’t sailing – no problem! We can arrange for your extra guests.
Some of our delightful skippers have again very generously donated their yachts for a good cause. Toybox, Ampersand, Razors Edge and LuLu Belle will all be competing again this year.
Please follow the links to see further details for corporate entries, individual entries and the VIP Spectator Boat (for those who would prefer to view the race from a distance whilst drinking bubbly).
